With the basics of our terminology standards now in place, the Institute of Ghost Science is beginning to shift attention toward the next stage of our work.

Our terminology provides a shared vocabulary for reported experiences, investigative practices, equipment, evidence, perceptual factors, and natural explanations. We will continue to review and develop these definitions over time as the standards evolve.

Our next priority is classification. We will begin developing a framework that helps organize terms and reported phenomena by their role, context, evidence status, and relationship to other concepts. The goal is not to force complex experiences into overly simple categories, but to make it easier to describe, compare, and assess them carefully.

As this work develops, we will continue to review terminology, refine definitions when needed, and publish updates with the same care used for the current standards.

We look forward to sharing the next stage of this work with you.
